AviationExpo Europe, is proud to be welcoming the air crews from the United States Air Force (Europe) and the French Air Force throughout the 3-day event at Bitburg, 22-24th June.
Republic Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt and F-16 Fighting Falcon air crews
These air crews are stationed at the local Spangdahlem Air Base. They will displaying their A-10 during the 3 day event at Bitburg Airport.
Grob G-120 Military Trainer
The air crew from the Cognac Airbase of l'Armee de l'Air (French Air Force) will be present and will be displaying their Grob G-120 Military Trainer.

A-10 Thunderbolt

The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American single-seat, twin-engine, straight-wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic in the early 1970s. The A-10 was designed for a United States Air Force requirement to provide close air support (CAS) for ground forces by attacking tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground targets with a limited air interdiction capability. It is the first U.S. Air Force aircraft designed solely for close air support. It has served with distinction in Iraq and is part of the allied forces currently serving in Afghanistan.
French Grob G-120 Military Trainer

The Grob G 120 is a two seated training and aerobatic low-wing aircraft with a carbon composite airframe, built by Grob Aircraft. It is based on the Grob G 115TA training aircraft and is specially designed for military and civil pilots training. It has a tricycle landing gear and a low tailplane.The example on show is from there French Air Force base at Cognac.
