Working in partnership with the Light Aircraft Association (LAA), we're proud to accommodate the ever-popular homebuilders section again at this year's event.
The Light Aircraft Association (LAA) is well known as the organisation that looks after amateur built aircraft, everything from a simple single seat machine to a state-of-the-art, 200mph four seat Van’s RV10. What many people may not realise however, is that the LAA also looks after a high proportion of the UK’s Vintage and Classic aircraft fleet, and these aircraft can offer some of the most pleasurable and cost effective flying available.
This year the LAA, in association with of its oldest Associate Member Club, the Vintage Aircraft Club, will be highlighting its Vintage and Classic aircraft activities with a display of representative aircraft. So whatever your aviation interest, the LAA will almost certainly offer a solution – small or large, old or new, simple or complex – make sure you visit the Light Aircraft Association stand at EXPO 2012.

The Pietenpol Aircamper is a vintage homebuilt that dates back to 1928 but it still enjoys a strong following today, over 80 years on.

A DH Moth, the classic vintage aeroplanes, many of which are now operating on an LAA Permit to Fly.

The BE-2 ‘Biggles Biplane’ replica celebrated 100 years since the type first flew on February 1st 1912, and in May will take part in celebrations to mark the centenary of the founding of the Royal Flying Corps.
